Boxing: Devin Haney prepares for career defining fight

Even in preparation for the biggest fight of his career, Devin Haney’s name came up in mega-fight other than George Kambosos Jr.

Haney (27-0-0) is one of the fighters Tank Davis would love to face but, first, Haney needs to beat Kambosos Jr. (20-0-0) on Saturday and he could need to beat Kambosos again before facing Davis.

With fight week here, Haney spoke about the opportunity in front of him.

“This means everything. It’s a dream come true of mine since I was a young kid. This is the biggest achievement of boxing. I can’t wait for June 5 to come.”

Haney’s last four fights have come down to the judges’ scorecards but the confidence is there, knockout or decision.

“There’s nothing he can do in the ring that’s better than me, and I will show it on fight night.”

Back to back wins over Kambosos Jr. would give Haney all the belts and would set up the biggest fight in boxing against Davis… who is a tank in his own right.
