Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Washington Wizards are down to four candidates for their head coaching job.
Washington’s search process for a new coach has narrowed to several assistants, including Dallas’ Jamahl Mosley, Milwaukee’s Darvin Ham and Charles Lee and Denver’s Wes Unseld, Jr., sources tell ESPN. Those are among the candidates who will talk to Wizards again this week.

Washington will have some competition for Jamahl Mosley and Wes Unseld Jr. It’s reported that the Orlando Magic has interest in both.
Mosley was thought of as being a strong candidate for the Dallas Mavericks job before Jason Kidd landed the spot. Before joining the Mavericks, Mosely had stops in Cleveland and Denver before joining Dallas.
Unseld Jr. has the connection of his father being a legendary player in a Washington Bullets uniform. But, this wouldn’t be a “connections” hire. Prior to becoming an associate head coach, Unseld worked nine-years as a pro advance scout for the Washington Wizards, followed by six seasons as a Wizards assistant coach. Unseld also spent one year as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors.
Both Darvin Ham and Charles Lee work for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Ham has 10 years of coaching experience. He joined the Bucks in 2018. Before that he was an assistant for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks.
Lee has worked with Mike Budenholzer in both Milwaukee and Atlanta.
