There’s only two weeks left in the NFL season and there’s still a lot to be decided.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-5) are in sixth place in the NFC but only one game behind the New Orleans Saints (10-4). The Bucs will clinch a playoff spot with a win or tie or a Chicago Bears (7-7) loss or tie. The Bucs are an -8.5 favorite on the road against the Detroit. The Lions will be without interim coach Darrell Bevell because of Covid-19 protocols. Robert Prince will take over. Tampa Bay -8.5
Just like the Bucs, Arizona (8-6) could benefit from a Chicago Bears loss. A win by the Cardinals along with a Bears loss or tie will get Arizona in. The Cardinals can also get in with a tie and a Bears loss. San Francisco (5-9) will start CJ Beathard at quarterback. It’s hard to tell if that’s why the spread jumped from 3 to 5 but, if the 49ers can run the ball, they can keep it within one score. San Francisco +5
Las Vegas (7-7) has played themselves out of playoff contention while Miami has played well enough to stay in the playoff picture by a nose. The Dolphins (9-5) are currently sitting as the seventh seed even though they are tied with the Baltimore Ravens. Miami is guaranteed a playoff spot if they win their last two games. If they don’t, there are a myriad of scenarios that could get them in or bounce them out. The Raiders playoff life is pretty simple. A loss or a Ravens win eliminates Las Vegas. Miami -2.5
