The Virginia Cavaliers will welcome former ACC member, Maryland to Charlottesville on Saturday.
The Cavaliers (9-1) are on a four-game winning streak with their most recent coming against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Thijs De Ridder leads the Cavaliers with 16.1 points and six rebounds per game. De Ridder is one of four Cavaliers averaging double figures.
The game was scheduled by former Maryland coach Kevin Willard. Willard has since moved to Villanova. Buzz Williams is the current Maryland coach and the Terps (6-5) are off to an up-and-down start.
Maryland could be without one of their best players, Pharrel Payne. Payne got injured in the loss to Michigan. As of the time of publication, Payne’s status for Saturday night’s game is unknown.
David “Diggy” Coit is Maryland’s second leading scorer. Coit scored 31 points against Michigan. Earlier in the season, his 41 points helped hold off an upset attempt by Mount St. Mary’s.
