There’s a Thin Line Between Love and Hate
We can all agree that Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price need to get the ball more this week. The offensive live must also do their part after struggling against Miami (FL). A willing formula will include Love and Price getting a combined 25+ carries. Even if the yards per carry isn’t optimal, the Fighting Irish can’t get away from the run.
Front Four
Notre Dame’s front four needs to show that they can generate pressure on their own. Boubacar Traore was the best out of the bunch in Miami but he needs to vary his up-field moves a bit. Bryce Young needs to be equally as effective on the other end. If the Aggies rushing game gets started, it might be hard for the Fighting Irish to shut it off.
Remember Who You Are
It’s been said by many people, many times. The Fighting Irish came off as a soft, tired team that wasn’t ready for the spotlight. If you’re on the offensive or defensive line you have to take that personally. It’s been two weeks of talk about everything that went wrong in Miami. The coaching staff, especially Chris Ash, is included. He called a soft game and his players responded in that way. His predecessor, Al Golden, wouldn’t have gone down without swinging the way that Ash did.
