College Football Picks: Week 13

It’s starting to get to the time of year when the picks get challenging.

Sometimes, there’s safety in games where one or both teams are playing for something, and then there are games where you think one team has packed it in.

Iowa at Maryland
I don’t know what Maryland has left. The Terps have lost five out of their last six games. The Hawkeyes’ brand travels no matter their record.
Pick: Iowa -6.5

North Carolina at Boston College
The Tar Heels love to play wacky games—the offense scores. The offense allows the opposing defense to score. The defense allows the opponent’s offense to score. That’s all to say that this game will hover around the total.
Pick: o55.5

Kentucky at Texas
As crazy as it may sound, Texas’ work isn’t done. The SEC is a dangerous place to live, and with the Big Ten having four teams vying for playoff spots, the Longhorns need to keep winning and probably score some style points.
Pick: Texas -20.5

Texas A&M at Auburn
The Aggies are trying to advance to the SEC Championship game. For that to happen, they must take care of Auburn. Despite being the road team, the Aggies should win despite some nervous moments.
Pick: Texas A&M -2.5
