Dunn Declares For NBA Draft

Ryan Dunn is the latest example of how NBA evaluators put a heavier emphasis to transferable skill than college numbers.

Dunn’s numbers are rather pedestrian. There’s nothing about his 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals that jumps off the page but Dunn’s measurables and skills have peaked the interests of NBA scouts all season.

If Dunn improves his three-point shot, he’s a candidate to be a 3-and-D player, if not he will be seen as a potential lockdown defender. Dunn’s shot 20% from the three-point line in college.

Either way, Dunn will probably start his career in the G League.
