Tony Bennett reached out to his old stomping ground to grab his latest recruit.
Bennett previously coached at Washington State and he still has some reach in the Pacific Northwest when 6’9″ forward, Jacob Cofie (Sammamish, WA/ 2024 Class), announced that he would be attending the University of Virginia.
Cofie/ fits the measurables for a Virginia wing. He has plus length on the perimeter and can defend. That’s essential in Bennett’s defensive schemes.
Cofie will still need to develop as a bonified two-way player in the ACC. He will have time to do that with how the current roster is constructed along with the 2023 recruiting class.
