The nonconference season is over, and Georgetown was probably one win away from it being a successful one.
The same can’t be said about the early stages of the Big East season. Georgetown started with a win at Marquette, followed by a home loss to Xavier. On paper, the Hoyas had a great chance to start the conference season 2-0 (something Creighton took advantage of against the same two opponents), and in a Big East Conference that many think is UConn, St. John’s, and everyone else, even the “everyone else” is layered.
