Turkey and Serbia played one of the best games in this year’s EuroBasket. Turkey outlasted the Serbians 95-90.
Turkey was led by Alperen Sengun’s 28 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists. Shane Larkin went for 23. Cedi Osman had 16.

Jokic led Serbia with 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Turkey was down one with 1:01 left and closed the game by scoring the last six points.
There was a lot of hype behind the Sengun-Jokic match-up. Sengun did a good job taking advantage of Jokic when he went into drop coverage. As you can see, Sengun made enough perimeter shots, especially threes to hurt Jokic when he didn’t close out which was never. Jokic never closed out on Sengun.

He scored 8 of Turkey’s last 13 points.
Most of Jokic’s damage came inside the paint on post ups and offensive rebounds. Despite Turkey’s size, Jokic in the paint was unstoppable. Despite Jokic getting the ball deep in the paint, he didn’t have any free throw attempts.
Turkey expended more energy than Serbia who never looked like they had a high level of “must have” like the Turkish
Both teams move on to the next round of games with Turkey winning the Group.
