Hoyas Drop Two to Presbyterian

Georgetown Baseball dropped its first two games to the season.

The Hoyas fell to Presbyterian 7-6 in the first game of the doubleheader and 6-5 in the second.

“Unfortunately, we came up short in game one but I thought JT Raab gave us a great start and Axel Johnson and Jack Volo did a great job out of the bullpen. We had a lot of guys on base but didn’t get a lot of them in. It was great to see Dylan Larkins and Jeremy Sheffield get their first collegiate hits and I thought they were great for us.

In game two, it was great to see Matthew Sapienza back after two years of battling injuries. Kai Leckszas and Andrew Jergins both were outstanding out of the bullpen. Offensively, their pitcher kept us really off balance. We had a big inning there but unfortunately couldn’t find the one to put us on top. We will regroup and be ready to go tomorrow.” -Head Coach Edwin Thompson
