The NFL’s triple-header on Sunday of Wild-Card weekend is always one of the best playoff days.
This year’s slate shouldn’t be any different.
Is it Josh Allen’s time to take over the AFC, or does rookie Bo Nix have an upset in him? Philadelphia and Green Bay feature two quarterbacks who can light up a scoreboard: Jalen Hurts (if healthy) and Jordan Love. Then, the day ends with the season’s best rookie, quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders against Baker Mayfield, and record-setting wide receiver Michael Evans.
Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills
Line: Bills -9.5
Total: 47.5
Josh Allen is in the MVP race this season, and the Bills are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Allen and the Bills gave the Kansas City Chiefs their only meaningful loss.
Allen could always beat you with his legs and arm. Now his decision-making has caught up.
Allen o278.5 Total Passing + Rushing Yards (-118)
Nix and Sean Payton look like they are developing the type of chemistry an offensive coach and quarterback should have in this era, but this is Nix’s first playoff game, which can sometimes rattle a rookie quarterback.
Nix o0.5 interceptions (-145)
If Buffalo jumps out to an early lead, they can wear down the Denver defense. That’s where James Cook’s props come into play.
Cook o70 Total Rushing Yards (+165)
Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles
Line: Eagles -5.5
Total: 45.5
There are questions about the health of both quarterbacks. At the time of publishing, both quarterbacks are expected to play, but I have to keep in mind that this could change.
Whether Hurts is in the starting lineup or not, Saquon Barkley will be a large part of the offense via the ground and in the air. I like a heavy dose of Barkley.
Barkley Rushing + Receiving o150 (+225)
Assuming Love plays, I love the Green Bay team total. This game might not be the shootout the Packers-Cowboys playoff game was but points are going to be scored.
Green Bay Team Total o19.5 (-125)
Washington Commanders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Line: Buccaneers -3
Total: 50.5
Jayden Daniels has looked like a poised quarterback all season, even in the season-opening loss to Tampa Bay.
Washington’s defense will need Daniels to be a factor because that defense has been leaking, especially against the run. I love Bucky Irving against Washington’s defense.
Irving o89.5 Total Rushing Yards (-120)
One of the things Baker Mayfield has done very well for the Buccaneers is extend plays with his movement. He keeps his eyes downfield, which also gives opposing teams a chance at getting a sack when Baker tries to do a little too much. That plays into the hands of an athletic defensive player who can chase Mayfield down.
Frankie Luvu o0.5 sacks (+235)
Who knows how much Marshon Lattimore can play? That means props that involve Mike Evans are in play.
Evans 2+ Total Touchdowns (+500)
