Has Deion Sanders started a trend?
Last week, Norfolk State announced Michael Vick as its new coach.
This week, Delaware State followed the trend of hiring an ex-NFL player as its new head coach. Welcome DeSean Jackson as the new Delaware State Hornets head coach.
It’s reported that Jackson will be the program’s next head coach, although the university has yet to make a formal announcement.
“Desean Jackson and Delaware State are finalizing an agreement for him to take the head coaching job there, said ESPN’s Pete Thamel. He did an on-campus interview in recent days and the sides are expected to come together in the near future.”
Jackson was hired in 2023 as an assistant coach at Woodrow Wilson High School.
