ACC Basketball Notebook: Instant Reaction to North Carolina’s loss to Kansas (VIP):

North Carolina and Kansas usually play on a neutral court. The two schools have agreed to play each other at home, with the first game being in Lawrence.

The Tar Heels fell behind by 20 in the first half but eventually took a one-point lead in the second half before falling to the Jayhawks, 92-89.

Elliot Cadeau had a chance to tie it at the buzzer, but his three-pointer was short.

The first half was a disaster. Both Jalen Washington and Jae’Lyn Withers were in foul trouble, which allowed Hunter Dickinson to dominate the half. Ty Claude, Ven-Allen Lubin, and James Brown all struggled to guard Dickinson.

In the second half, North Carolina pushed the ball and cut what was once a 20-point lead down to nine by the under-16 timeout. The Tar Heels took an 80-79 lead in the second half. The lead grew to four with 3:28 left.
