The Fabulous Five has had back-to-back weeks with a massive shake-up. Texas laid an egg at home while the Canes won a shootout on the road.
Oregon (7-0)
The Ducks took care of business by treating Purdue the way they did… like a bad team. (20) Illinois is heading to Eugene. The Illini lack the offensive fire or speed to keep up with Oregon.
Miami (7-0)
The Canes got a better win over Louisville than most people realize. Louisville’s offense put pressure on Miami, but Cam Ward’s four touchdown passes saved the day.
Georgia (6-1)
The Bulldogs had the best win of the week, which is why you don’t see Texas. Going on the road and knocking off the top-ranked team in the country when you didn’t have your “A” game was impressive.
Penn State (6-0)
The Nittany Lions head to Wisconsin a week before hosting Ohio State. Penn State will need to show maturity and take care of business. A loss to the Badgers, followed by a loss to Ohio State, would all but eliminate Penn State from playoff contention.
Ohio State (5-1)
The Buckeyes have had some time to get over the Oregon loss. This is the perfect spot to flex their muscles against Nebraska. The Huskers are coming off a 56-7 loss to Indiana
