During summer workouts, assistant coach LaDontae Henton led drills, installed plays, and explained concepts.
Henton is qualified to enforce what Cooley is teaching.
As a player at Providence, Henton was the second Friar ever to score more than 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in his career. He ranks second all-time in scoring (2,059 points) and fifth all-time in rebounding (1,054 rebounds).
As Georgetown embarks on year two of the Cooley era, Henton’s voice is more prominent as he continues to work towards becoming a head coach.
Marcus “Mook” Washington sat down with Henton to discuss getting into coaching, his playing career, and more.
