San Francisco wasn’t supposed to be 2-3 at this juncture of the season, but injuries and tough losses have eroded last season’s NFC Champions.
Seattle got off to a 3-0 start but has dropped the last two (at Detroit, home to the NY Giants), which has caused some concern.
Two teams needing a win on the national stage should set up for an entertaining game.
Line: San Francisco -3.5
Total: 48.5
I’m not a big fan of the line, but I’m even less of a fan of the total, even though I would lean towards the over. Seattle getting the hook at home is intriguing from a betting perspective. Was the loss to New York a sign of things to come or just a letdown against a bad team?
Pick: Seattle +3.5
Is Seattle asking Geno Smith to drop back too much? Last week, Smith was sacked seven times. This season, Smith has been sacked 18 times. Yes, 18 times in five games. What’s the remedy? It starts with getting Kenneth Walker III started. Look for Seattle to lean on Walker III against a 49ers defense that has taken a backward step.
Prop: Kenneth Walker III 70+ Rushing Yards (+118)
Last week, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle got 12 targets each. What does that mean for Jauan Jennings? Jennings only got 4 targets. Tonight, I expect for Jennings to receive more targets hence his numbers should be up and it looks like Aiyuk has gotten into playing shape.
Prop: Jauan Jennings 3+ Receptions (-112) and Brandon Aiyuk 70+ Receiving Yards (+114)
