Georgetown knew they weren’t getting Nyk Lewis. It didn’t matter what the fans wanted. It wasn’t going to happen, and the staff knew it.
The other thing that had been apparent was that Lewis would likely end up in the Big East Conference. Seton Hall, Creighton, and Xavier were the other Big East members on this list, with Lewis choosing Sean Miller over Ed Cooley, Shaheen Holloway, and Greg McDermott. LSU and Michigan rounded out the schools that were considered.
It is an interesting choice given Miller’s history, but that’s a different discussion for another time.
