The NWSL Players Association (NWSLPA) and the NWSL have struck a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
According to the NWSLPA Instagram account, the new CBA eliminates the draft, requires player’s consent when involved in a trade, guaranteed contracts, revenue sharing and workload management.

The league looks to be on the rise after a new television deal.
“These partnerships fundamentally change the game for our league and the players who take the pitch each week. On behalf of the NWSL, our owners and players, I want to commend CBS Sports, ESPN, Prime Video and Scripps for investing in our league and affirmatively declaring to the marketplace that this league is exciting, valuable, and important,” NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman said in a statement. The broadcast partners in the deal include Ion, CBS Sports, Prime Video, and the ESPN family of networks.
