Fresh off the Olympics, both Nike and Adidas announced new projects.
Nike has partnered with designer Anna Deller-Yee. According to Nike’s press release, the project will include:
- A Nike Alate Bra.
- Nike One Leggings.
- A matching Phoenix Fleece set.
- Additional fitness and lifestyle silhouettes
Nike describes the collection as “using a watercolour effect to create a bold but soft blend of colours and textures that fosters an active dialogue between body, femininity, movement and strength.”
Adidas’ timing is impeccable. Not only is the post-Olympic buzz still strong, but the US Open in New York is just around the corner.
Adidas has announced a tennis-centric release described as a “19-piece FW24 New York Tennis apparel collection – a range of high-performance pieces built to optimize movement and reduce distraction.”
A line of shoes is also being released alongside the recently launched Defiant Speed 2.
Adidas-sponsored tennis players will wear the new gear. The athletes include Jessica Pegula, Caroline Wozniacki, Elina Svitolina, Maria Sakkari, Daria Kasatkina, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
