The PGA Tour has its first full field, 36 hole cut tournament of 2024 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
The field includes Will Zalatoris, Ludvig Aberg, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrell Hatton, Theegala and Sentry winner Chris Kirk.
Last week, Chris Kirk won The Sentry.
Defending Champion: Si Woo Kim
Odds (FanDuel):
Tyrell Hatton +1600
Ludvig Aberg +1800
Matt Fitzpatrick +1800
Brian Harman +2000
Russell Henley +2200
Birdie: Corey Connors
Connors has a couple of things in his favor. Since 2019, he has a scoring average of 66.8 at Waialae Country Club and an impressive 1.24 strokes gained per round. Ball striking is key here and Connors has been at the top of his game in that category.
Par: Ludvig Aberg
If Aberg had played here before, this probably would’ve been my birdie pick. Last season, he finished in the top 25 in 8 of the 11 events he played on the PGA Tour. He finished the DP Wolrd Tour strong with two late wins at Omega European Masters and the RSM Classic.
Bogey: Chris Kirk
No one has pulled off a sweep in Hawaii since 2017 when Justin Thomas did it.
