Picks and Props: NFL Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving!

Three games today, plus a bonus game on Black Friday.

Let’s jump into the games.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

Line: Lions -8.5

Total: 47

Has anyone capitalized more on being on Hard Knocks than the Detroit Lions? Last year, Dan Campbell became a star, and the Lions became a flawed, lovable team. This season, the Lions have taken the next step to being serious contenders.

That’s the polar opposite of the Packers, who have to be questioning whether Jordan Love is their next franchise quarterback.

Prop Bet:

San LaPorta over 43.5 yards receiving (-115)

Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys

Line: -13.5

Total: 47.5

The Commanders’ season effectively ended last week with a home loss to the New York Giants. For Washington and its coaching staff, it’s time to audition for your next job.

That starts with the coordinators. Jack Del Rio has failed to turn a unit full of high draft picks into a cohesive unit, while Eric Bieniemy is turning a fifth-round quarterback into a franchise quarterback.

If there’s one thing Dallas has done this season, is beat bad teams. The defense should feast against a Commanders’ offense that has struggled with giving up sacks.

Pick:

Over 47.5 (-110)

Prop Bets:

Dak Prescott – Longest Pass Completion over 37.5 (-120)

Dallas Defense – Anytime Touchdown (+160)

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

Line: SF -7

Total: 43.5

Seattle is dinged up on offense, with Geno Smith and Kenneth Walker III suffering bumps and bruises last week.

San Francisco has a one-game lead over the Seahawks in the standings, and a win today would go a long way in winning the division.

The 49ers still have an outside chance to catch the Philadelphia Eagles for the best record in the NFC.

Prop Bets:

Deebo Samuel over 10.5 yards rushing (-115)

Christian McCaffrey over 113.5 rushing + receiving (-115)
