Alabama (-3) vs LSU:
This is the game of the week, no question about it. In Tuscaloosa, at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Alabama looks to knock off LSU. Alabama comes into this game with a big win over Tennessee 34-20, where they limited the good Tennessee running game to just 133 yards when they are averaging 221 per game.
Unfortunately for Alabama, LSU is a different breed altogether. LSU is the best offense in College Football.
They are 1st in total yards and PPG, 3rd in passing yards, and 27th in rushing yards. LSU lost the first game of the season to a Florida St team that has ended up being really good. They also lost to Ole Miss in a shootout. Since then, they have beaten Missouri, Auburn and Army. Although they have the best offense in CFB, they have one of the worst defenses. They are giving up over 400+ yards and 25 points per game. Alabama is just the opposite (kind of). They have one of the best defenses altogether, but their offense up until this point has been decent but could have been better.
Jalen Milroe is one of the most impressive yet questionable players in the country. He shows he can make a throw into a basket 60 yards down the field but then needs help figuring out if it’s cover two or cover three and will throw a ball directly into coverage. That being said, he has figured it out, though, as of late. In his last three, he’s thrown 6 TDs and 1 INT, leading the team to good wins over Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
This game will come down to one thing: can Alabama score 35+ points? A good defensive effort will hold LSU to 30 points (which is ridiculous to say), but nevertheless, true. If Milroe can keep the team in it, 35 points will win the game for the Crimson Tide.
Prediction: Alabama -3
