UVA lets one slip away

UVA’s loss to James Madison was heartbreaking. The Cavaliers were up 35-24 going into the fourth quarter before falling to the Dukes, 36-35

If there was something UVA fans could take away from the loss was Mike Hollins scoring a touchdown. Hollins was one of the shooting victims last year. Hollins finished with 28 yards on 12 carries.

And, in his first start, freshman quarterback, Anthony Colandrea showed he was the real deal. Colandrea finished with 377 yards on 20-26 passing. He finished with two touchdown passes and an interception.

It’s interesting that head coach Tony Elliott said if Tony Muskett is healthy, he will be the starter against Maryland.

Eventually, Elliott is going to have to show that he can get the program in the right direction, something Mike Locksley has down at Maryland.
