Rose Zhang was the talk of the town going into this week’s Mizuho America’s Open and she didn’t disappoint.
Zhang would finish -2 (70) in her first round as a pro.
Zhang was -3 through 6 before getting into a little trouble on the 9th hole. That would result in her first bogey as a professional.
A birdie on 13 put Zhang back to -3 under.
On 14 and 15, Zhang had makeable par putts but pushed both of them just off the cup.
Zhang would end her round with a birdie on 18.
