Darren Buchanan Jr. (Jackson-Reed HS) has signed with George Washington
“We are excited to bring a D.C. native and two-time DCIAA Player of the Year back to D.C.,” (Chris) Caputo said. “Darren brings an infectious personality combined with the physical toughness and competitiveness we want to be a staple in our program. He gives us positional versatility in the front court on both ends of the floor.”

Buchanan Jr. averaged with 17 points and 10 rebounds while earning Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year and D.C. Gatorade Player of the Year honors.
He redshirted this past season for the Hokies and will have four years of eligibility remaining.
