NFL: Tua’s saga puts NFL owners in perspective

There shouldn’t have been a question over Tua Tagovailoa’s status for Saturday’s wild-card game.

He should’ve been ruled out the nanosecond the Miami Dolphins qualified for the playoffs.

That wasn’t the case.

It wasn’t until today that the Dolphins announced that Tagovailoa would be out on Saturday.

The only reason why anyone would think there was a shot is because we all know how much the owners care about the players… very little.

If there was a way to run Tagovailoa out there, believe me, they would have and why not?

The NFL’s core fan base is well south of the IQ equator. They know they could sell someone’s health and well-being and that group wouldn’t have batted an eye.

It would be the same tired rhethoric:

“Look how much they make”

The NFL owners know who is spending their last dime on a product that routinely allows owners to abuse players, women, and anyone else they can run over if it means an extra quarter on the television contract.

The owners are the only reason Tagovailoa’s status was up in the air.

Player safety is a term thrown around because people think it’s the right thing to act like they care about … until Saturday’s Super Wild Card weekend.
