Maryland (9-3, 1-1) will try to build on their 75-45 win over Saint Peter’s when UMBC comes to town.
The Retrievers will be looking for their seventh straight win.
Four of the six wins have been by double-digits.
In the win over Saint Peter’s, head coach tweaked the starting lineup with Patrick Emilien and Ian Martinez making starts.
Emilien was in for the injured Julien Reese while Martinez was taking the place of Don Carey.
Carey should be back in the starting lineup for the UMBC game.
“It’s just a matter of trying to get Don going a little bit.” said Willard. “I can see Don being back in the starting lineup for tomorrow’s game”
As for Reese’s injury, Willard reiterated that he’s not at liberty to speak about injured players.
Like Maryland, UMBC loves to play fast so look for this to be a fast pace game.
“They really push the pace. They are a team that is kinda relentless in the fact that whether you score on them or they get a stop, they’re coming at you.”
Colton Lawrence leads the UMBC in scoring. Lawrence is one of four Retrievers that average in double-digits.
