Go-Go Draft Selections

The Capital City Go-Go had two picks in today’s NBA G League Draft.

With the 16th pick of the first round, the Go-Go selected Theo John. The Go-Go’s third round selection was Nick Hornsby.

“Today’s draft went extremely well,” said Go-Go General Manager Amber Nichols. “We’re thrilled with both selections we were able to make this afternoon. Theo John is a defensive presence and anchor in the frontcourt while Nick Hornsby’s versatility at the forward and center positions is a huge value. His international experience will also translate very well to the G League.”

John started his college career at Marquette before moving on to Duke in his final college season. His 6-9 frame would make you think that he was a better college rebounder than what he was. Last season at Duke, he only averaged 2.5 rebounds per game.

Hornsby brings in a ton of international experience. He has had multiple international stops with his best seasons coming in Germany where he averaged 13.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
