This is what Tyson Fury caused all the drama about?
Fury had gotten everyone’s hopes up when it looked like there was a chance that he would fight Oleksandr Usyk. When it was apparent that wasn’t going to happen there was a bigger gift… a fight with Anthony Joshua.
The Joshua fight fell apart when he missed a mythical deadline date.
Now we are getting Fury against Derek Chisora. For those not counting, Fury has fought Chisora twice, winning both fights. The first was by decision and the second was by stoppage. Unlike the fights with Deontay Wilder, this trilogy doesn’t present in memorable moments.
Fury doesn’t owe anyone, anything. He’s put on some of the most entertaining heavyweight fights in recent memory but this is a massive letdown.
At the end of the day, all the talk was nothing more than sound and fury signifying nothing.
