NFL Week 5 picks

Usually my picks are made via video but this week has been a bear so you’ll have to settle for picks via the net. How early 2000s of me.

Seattle Seahawks +5 at New Orleans Saints Total: 46

There isn’t a better early season story than Geno Smith.

Smith has managed Pete Carroll’s offense to the letter of the law and he’s reaped the benefits.

I’m not a big Dennis Allen guy. I still don’t think he should’ve gotten the job.

Anyway, despite Seattle’s lousy defense, this should be a one-score game.

Seattle +5

Terry McLaurin over/under 57.5 yards receiving

The Commanders are heading in the wrong direction but you that doesn’t necessarily mean Ron Rivera is in trouble. You never know how they are thinking out in Ashburn.

Despite Carson Wentz morphing back into Carson Wentz, Terry McLaurin is poised to have a big day against Tennessee’s secondary.

McLaurin over 57.5 (-115)

Julio Jones Anytime TD

Obviously this is based on Jones’ availability. He’s a game-time decision. If he plays, Tom Brady will find a way to get Jones a touchdown against his former team.

Julio Jones Anytime TD (+225) – if he plays.

Jamal Williams Anytime TD

Williams was called on to pick up the slack for a dinged up DeAndre Swift. The Lions have been rewarded. Who knows how this game will turn out on the scoreboard but what we have seen all season is that the Lions can score.

Jamal Williams Anytime TD (-145)
