Commanders fail to close

Washington comes up short in 21-17 loss to the Titans

The Washington Commanders were two yards away from having a completely different tenor in the locker room.

Down 21-17, the Commanders had three chances to score the game winning touchdown from six feet away. Instead, Carson Wentz threw into double coverage where Tennessee’s David Long came away with the game sealing interception.

As Ron Rivera continues to preach patience, the Commanders continue to sit in last place of one of the best divisions in football.

Washington’s four game losing streak is troubling. Two of the four have come to division opponents and, until today, the games haven’t been as competitive as the organization would like for them to be.

Washington wasted some good individual performances. Wentz threw for 359 yards and Dyami Brown had 2 catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
