NFL: AFC Division Predictions

With the NFL Season upon us, it’s time for our predictions.

We will start with the AFC.

AFC East
Buffalo Bills are one of the most popular picks to come out of the AFC. It’s the natural next step for Josh Allen and the Bills. The other three teams have quarterback questions. Mac Jones hasn’t convinced me yet and the jury is still out on Tua Tagovailoa. Zac Wilson could be ready for Week 1 but is he ready to make a sizable jump this season? Doubt it.

Prediction:
Buffalo
Miami
New England
New York Jets

AFC North
The Cincinnati Bengals were the surprise AFC representative in last season’s Super Bowl. Joe Burrow soaked up the spotlight but he lead the Bengals to another deep run. The Ravens are dealing with Lamar Jackson’s contract negotiations. Is Mitchell Trubisky really the answer in Pittsburgh or is he keeping the seat warm for Kenny Pickett? Can Cleveland’s defense hold down the fort until DeShaun Watson has a chance to come back?

Prediction:
Baltimore
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh
Cleveland

AFC South
The Colts add Matt Ryan to a bruising running game. It makes them a slight favorite in my book especially with the trust issues I have with Ryan Tanneyhill. I don’t think the Houston Texans will be as bad as most think and the Jaguars should improve.

Prediction:
Indianapolis
Tennessee
Jacksonville
Houston

AFC West
Hands down the best division in football. Kansas City has been the gold standard in the conference with San Diego ready to make a move. Las Vegas has a new coach (Josh McDaniels) and an electric wide receiver (Davante Adams). Denver is looking to make a big jump with the addition of Russell Wilson to an already good roster.

Prediction:
San Diego
Kansas City
Las Vegas
Denver
