In a perfect world, Tiger Woods would’ve strolled across Swilcan Bridge on Sunday with a chance to win.
Instead, what we got was Woods walking across Swilcan Bridge tipping his cap to the crowd in what is most likely his last competitive round at St Andrews.
Woods finished the first two rounds 9-over, nine strokes from the cut line.
No matter how much fans didn’t want to accept it, Woods is closer to being done than having a signature moment.
His injuries have built up over the years with the last one almost costing him his leg. It’s hard to believe that he can compete for four competitive rounds in any tournament nevertheless a major.
