Boxing: Keyshawn Davis continues to impress

Keyshawn Davis is best when the lights are the brightest.

The Norfolk native loves being on big cards and it shows.

Davis (5-0) continued his journey to superstardom by stopping Estaban Sanchez in the 6th round.

“I just kept staying steady, staying with my rhythm. My coach, {Brian McIntyre}, kept telling me to go the body. I was trying to stab him a lot in the rounds, and honestly, I was just picking up round after round. I loved this fight because it challenged me. I felt challenged in the ring. I was happy I got a great performance and the stoppage.”

Davis is a fan friendly fighter with a beautiful jab that he follows with power punches with cruel intentions.

He broke down Sanchez with powerful hooks to both the head and the body along with a debilitating uppercut. Davis landed 57% of his power punches and he punched in combinations all night.

Davis is a charismatic former US Olympian who won a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics.

Davis’ boxing skill along with his likability puts him in line to be the next great American fighter.
