Boxing: Fury’s next opponent

After Tyson Fury knocked out Dillian Whyte, the Gypsy King hinted at retirement.

Fury said “this might be the final curtain for the Gypsy King. And what a way to go out! A big thank you to the United Kingdom!”

Lets hope this isn’t the case.

There are three fights I would love to see prior to Fury calling it quits.

We will start with Oleksandr Usyk. In a perfect word, Usyk would be Fury’s next opponent. Usyk introduced himself to the casual fan when he upset Anthony Joshua.

Speaking of Joshua, no matter what you think of his style, the former champion fighting Fury would be the paydays of all paydays. Fight it in Wembley and you have one of the biggest heavyweight events of this era.

In the ring, a disciplined Joshua could give Fury more problems than Deontay Wilder presented.

Last but not least, I would take a Fury vs Luis Ortiz or an in-shape Andy Ruiz Jr.

Ortiz might be a little to old for that challenge but it’s still intriguing. A motivated Ruiz Jr. could make the fight interesting even though, Fury doesn’t make the same sloppy mistakes that Joshua makes.
