George Mason Basketball: Patriots snag Bailey Jr

Kim English strikes again.

English dipped into the Transfer Portal and pulled out Victor Bailey Jr.

Last season, Bailey averaged 10.9 points per game for the Volunteers.

It’s the second Tennessee Volunteer that has decided to head to Fairfax. Last year, Davonte “Ticket” Gaines left Tennessee for George Mason.

“We are so excited to add VJ into our program,” English said. “He comes to us with a wealth of experience from playing in highly successful programs. VJ is a really gifted scorer and an elite competitor. His individual defense took major strides while at Tennessee.”

This is the third stop for Bailey. He was on Oregon’s Sweet 16 team in 2018-19. He shot 39.8% from three that season. The three-point shot is a key component to English’s offense.

George Mason’s incoming class is comprised of Bailey Jr., Justyn Fernandez, and Devin Dinkins.
