Providence vs Kansas Preview

Ed Cooley has gotten Providence to the second weekend and, boy, does he have a chip on his shoulder.

It’s hard to blame Cooley when you consider that so many so called experts picked against the Friars based on past performances that doesn’t have anything with this season’s team.

If anyone know that treatment it’s Bill Self. For years, Self’s Kansas Jayhawks came up short in major ways but a breakthrough led to a National Championship win over Memphis.

Keys:

Flex Muscles: Providence runs a lot of flex offense that leads to opportunities for everyone in the offense. The player who needs to benefit the most from it is Nate Watson. Watson must be a factor on the offensive end.

Midrange: Kansas left a lot of points on the floor from the midrange. Tonight, those shots will need to turn into points.

Bynum: Jared Bynum has been a spark plug off the bench. His three-point shooting will help loosen up the lane for his teammates.
