Georgetown Basketball: Big East Tournament Game vs Seton Hall

Georgetown can put the regular season behind them and it couldn’t come soon enough.

The Hoyas lost all 19 conference games. Overall, the Hoyas have lost 20 straight games. The last win came on December 15th against Howard.

In Seton Hall, Georgetown will play an opponent they’ve been competitive against. The Hoyas fell to Seton Hall 70-63 in Washington DC. It was a game where they led in the second half. In the rematch, the Hoyas had a shot to tie it but Kaiden Rice’s three-point attempt was wide in the 73-68 loss.

Keys:

Contain Kadary – Kadary Richmond has been the engine that has made Seton Hall go against the Hoyas. Richmond has averaged 12 points, 6.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists in the two games.

Keep Pirates off the free throw line – Seton Hall went to the line 19 times in the first game and 17 times in the second game. The Hoyas aren’t efficient on defense so keeping their opponent off the free throw line especially when the two teams are so evenly matched.

K-Gun – Kaiden Rice has to find his early season magic. He was 5-8 when the two teams last met but in the five games prior, Rice was 3-32 from long distance.
