Three months after the original event date, it was announced today that Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero will meet in the ring.
The fight has been scheduled for May 28th.
Both fighters are represented by Mayweather Promotions.
The first fight was postponed after Romero (14-0, 12 KOs) was accused of sexual assault. Henderson County investigated the allegation and no charges were filed.
Davis and Romero have been trading verbal shots at each other.
R0mero said about Davis. “He’s arrogant and tries to act like he’s tough, but I’m knocking him out.”
The undefeated Davis (26-0, 24 KOs) responded. “He’s trying to talk his way into winning, but he’s scared.”
