Alexander Ovechkin came into the NHL as a lethal scorer.
Over his career Ovechkin has been the focus of every team’s game plan and the Great 8 still puts the puck in the back of the net.
Ovechkin has moved to within two goals of third place all time. He stands at 764 goals and Jaromir Jagr is next to be moved down the list
“He cannot be stopped if he doesn’t want to,” said Jagr.
The big question is whether Ovechkin can catch Gretzky’s 894 goals.
Ovechkin has a five-year contract so it isn’t out of the realm of possibility for him to reach it.
Jagr thinks Ovechkin can do it. “I think he’s going to do it before that.”
