Georgetown Basketball: Seton Hall Pregame

Georgetown comes into the game at 6-12, 0-7 in the Big East. The Hoyas will be looking to break an eight game losing streak. Their last win came on December 15th when the Hoyas defeated Howard 85-73.

The Hoyas are coming off a close 56-53 loss at Butler. Donald Carey had a chance to tie the game in the waning seconds. His shot missed to the front of the rim.

Seton Hall has had their own struggles. The Pirates come in having lost their last two… four of their last five. They are coming off a 73-63 loss to 22nd ranked Marquette.

Who to watch tonight Georgetown: Aminu Mohammed

The freshman guard had seemed to hit a wall but it could’ve been something as simple as adjusting to how teams were playing him. In his last five games, he’s averaged 13.8 ppg. He’s shooting 25-47 (53%) from the floor. During the same span, he’s averaging 7.2 rebounds.

Who to watch tonight Seton Hall: Ike Obiagu

The Graduate big man should find some opportunities against Georgetown’s bigs tonight. On paper Obiagu’s numbers are ordinary at best: 2.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. But the Hoyas have had periods throughout the season where they’ve struggled rebounding the ball. If Obiagu dives and grabs a few offensive rebounds, he should be able to exceed his season averages.
