For the second straight game, Georgetown showed an improvement but didn’t have enough to defeat a Big East foe.
After the loss the Providence, the Hoyas had a tall task trying to rebound against Villanova but a strong performance had the Hoyas up in the second half.
But Villanova’s experience, in particular Collin Gillespie (28 points) helped the Wildcats to a 85-74 victory.
