NBA: Nets, Warriors Getting Back Key Pieces

The Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets are two of the best teams in the NBA even though they’re missing key components.

That could change soon. ESPN reports that Klay Thompson could be back on Sunday while Kyrie Irving could be back with the Nets on Wednesday night.

Thompson has missed the better part of two seasons after tearing his left ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals followed by a torn right Achilles in 2020.

Irving has been out due to his decision to opt out of getting the Covid-19 vaccine. His decision meant he couldn’t play home games because of New York City’s vaccine mandate. The Nets decided that Irving wouldn’t participate in road games either. The Nets have reversed their decision and allow Irving to play road games.
