At the age of 39, Nonito Donaire continues to defy Father Time.
On Saturday night, he knocked Reymart Gaballo (24-1, 20 KOs) in the fourth round with a crushing body shot.
“My wife and my dad were telling me to go to the body,” Donaire said. “I had to set it up by bouncing up and down to open up that shot. I was throwing the right hand in the earlier rounds and then he didn’t expect the left hook to the body.”
This was Donaire’s (41-6, 28 KOs) first defense of the WBC belt since he upset Nordine Oubaali.
