George Washington has strung together two wins in a row after their 67-58 win over Radford. Colonials had four players in double-digits.
James Bishop led the Colonials with 21 points.
Freshman Brayon Freeman continued his solid play off the bench scoring 16 and including 2-3 from the 3 point line.
The first half was rough offensively for both teams. GW shot 37.5% while Radford shot 32.4%. The saving grace for the Colonials was James Bishop. He hit 5 out of his last 6 shots after missing his first four shots of the game. He had 11 by halftime as GW led 27-22.
Bishop kept it going at the beginning of the half as he came out and hit his first three pointer. GW would reel off a 9-point run that started in the first half as they took a 12 point lead, 34-22, early in the second half.
A 6-0 Radford run got the Highlanders w/in four at 38-34.
GW responded with a 11-0 run of their own that was highlighted by a three pointer by Brayon Freeman and a Joe Bamisile three point play.
The lead would eventually swell to 16 points (55-39).
The game got close in the end because GW kept fouling three point shooters. Radford had two four point plays that allowed them to cut the lead down to 6 w/ under 30 seconds left.
