Washington Football Team heads to Denver in your “something has to give” game.
The Football Team has lost three in a row while the Broncos have lost four in a row.
The key for Washington starts with the defense. Most felt like the unit would be top five in the NFL but up to this point it hasn’t shown. With that being said, it seems to be trending in the right direction. After being in the middle of the pack in sacks, they’ve racked up 15 sacks in the last four weeks.
“You could really see them in sync in terms of the way they were rushing together,” Ron Rivera said.
On offense, the focus is on quarterback Tyle Heinicke but Washington could use some help in the running game. Last week, Heinicke was Washington’s leading rusher with 95 yards. That can’t be the case in Denver.
It won’t be easy for the running backs. Denver is fifth in the league against the rush just giving up 99.3 yards a game on the ground.
