Maryland announced that they will perform a national search to identify a new head coach for the women’s soccer team.
“We will identify the strongest candidates and hire a dynamic leader who will build our program to be nationally competitive,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director Shawn Flynn.
Previous head coach, Ray Leone, will not have his contract renewed. In six seasons, as the head coach, Leone’s teams went 27-60-18.
Assistant coach Kerry Dziczkaniec will serve as interim head coach while the search for the next head coach is conducted.
