Boxing: Stevenson-Herring Undercards

Evan Holyfield highlighted the ESPN+ Shakur Stevenson-Jemel Herring undercard.

The son of former heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield, made quick work of Charles Stanford. Holyfield (8-0, 6 KOs) knocked out his opponent in the second round (30 seconds of round 2). Holyfield landed a quick left hook followed by a straight right hand. Stanford crumpled to the floor.

Deljerro Rovello-Harley Mederos – Mederos won 40-35 on all scorecards

Harley Mederos (2-0) dominated Deljerro Rovello (0-2) in a unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bout 40-35.

Mederos used a right hook to setup up a knockdown later in the round. Mederos stunned Rovello in the second and third rounds but couldn’t put him away.

Antoine Cobb-Jerrion Campbell – Cobb scores KO 58 seconds of round one.

Cobb making professional debut. Cobb (1-0) knocked him out in the first round with a right haymaker. The referee called the fight as Jerrion Campbell (2-2) slumped the canvas.

Roberto Negrete-Haven Brady Jr. – Brady won 40-36 on all scorecards

In what was the first competitive fight of the night, Haven Brady Jr. defeated Roberto Negrete by unanimous decision. Brady Jr. (4-0) won 40-36 on all three scorecards.

In the first round, Brady Jr. stayed behind his jab working Negrete (3-1) to the body and the head. The second round saw more back and forth action as Negrete landed three clean shots near the end of the round. The third round saw Negrete land another big counter punch at the beginning of the round. Later in the round, it was Brady who landed the clean 1-2. The fourth round was more back and forth action.

Making the Cut scorecard 38-38

Eric Palmer-Roddricus Livsey – Palmer split decision 58-56, 55-59, 58-56

Palmer-Livsey had a tough act to follow and they didn’t follow it well. Livsey (8-1-1) suffered the first loss of his career because he spent most of the six rounds clutching, grabbing, and being inactive. Palmer (13-14-5) carried all of the action. On the official scorecards, it was a split decision win for Palmer (58-56, 55-59, 58-56)

Nicholi Navarro-Troy Isley – Isley scores KO 2:48 of round one

Troy Isley (3-0, 2 KOs) took control form the beginning landing power punch after power punch until Nicholi Navarro (2-2) crumbled.
