Georgetown football named their four captains for the upcoming season.
Teammates and coaches chose Neal Azar, Joseph Brunell, Owen Kessler and Ahmad Wilson. All four players are graduate students.
Neal Azar
- started all 11 games at center as a sophomore in 2019
- two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
- graduated from the McDonough School of Business in just three years with a degree in management
Joseph Brunell
- as a junior appeared in 8 games completing 48 passes for 607 yards and three touchdowns
- passed for 146 yards and rushed for the game-clinching touchdown in the fourth quarter against Columbia to reclaim the Lou Little Trophy.
- two-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Owen Kessler
- has appeared in all 33 games during his career, 28 as starter
- in his junior year he led the team with 7.5 tackles for loss
- named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after recording a career-high 13 tackles in the 2019 season opener at Davidson
- in 2018 he was named All-Patriot League Second Team
- twice been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Ahmad Wilson
- has earned postseason all-conference honors in each of his first three years
- was named to the All-Patriot League First Team
- In 2019 was named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team
- wo-time Patriot League All-Academic Team selection
- has earned three Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
